Leinster won the Boys and the Under 16 Boys interprovincial Matches at Athlone. In the Boys Matches, Kevin Le Blanc, Alan Fahy and Michael Ryan won both of their games as Leinster beat Ulster 6-4 in the title decider. In the Under 16 Matches, Leinster came back from defeat to Munster on the first day with wins over Connacht and Ulster.

Munster clinched the Interprovincial Championship on a thrilling final day at The Island with victory over Ulster in the deciding match.

Hometown hero Kevin Le Blanc, who won the Junior Open Championship last week at West Lancs in what was the start of a great week for Irish golf, will be present among the Leinster Boys team who are looking for a three-in-a-row victory at the Boys Interprovincial Championship this week.

Ring of Kerry's Tommy O'Driscoll bounced back from the disappointment of being pipped in Leinster when he fired a closing 76 to win the Ulster Boys Amateur Open by two strokes at Clandeboye.
