Carey tied fourth after opening 65 in Italy

Alps Tour — Castleknock’s David Carey was just three shots off the lead after the opening round of the Memorial G. Bordoni in Como.
Italy’s Edoardo R Lipparelli shot an eight-under 62 to lead by two strokes at La Pinetina with Carey tied for fourth on five-under after a 65.
Stephen Grant was the next best of the Irish on two-over with Jonathan Yates five-over and Simon Bryan 11-over.
