Aine Donegan impressively claims LET card in Morocco

Lahinch’a Aine Donegan claimed her Ladies European Tour card when she finished a brilliant joint fifth in the Lalla Aicha Q-School in Morocco.

Exactly 20 players earned full LET cards for the 2026 season, headed by Polish star Dorota Zalewska, who carded a six-under 67 at Al Maaden Golf Marrakech to win by three shots on 19-under par from American Anna Morgan.

Alexandra Swayne of the U.S. Virgin Islands made it back-to-back Lalla Aicha Q-School successes as she had a fantastic week, finishing third on 15-under par.

In fourth was Slovenia’s Ana Belac. The Olympian earned her full LPGA Tour card at Q-Series last week and will now hold dual membership once again.

Donegan, who learned her golf at Woodstock, shot a bogey-free, three under 70 at Al Maaden Golf Marrakech to tie for fifth on 13 under with Scotland’s Hannah Darling, Nigeria’s Georgia Oboh and France’s Emma Grechi.

It was an impressive Q-School campaign for the Co Clare golfer (23) who won her pre-qualifier by eight strokes on 13-under.

The LSU graduate was 26-under for seven rounds, carding rounds of 70, 66, 67 in pre-qualifying, followed by rounds of 72, 67, 68 and 70 at the Final Stage.

Seven players finished joint ninth on 11-under par: Spanish trio Carolina Lopez Chacarra, Julia Lopez Ramirez and Carla Tejedo Mulet, Italy’s Roberta Liti, England’s Caley McGinty, Australia’s Justice Bosio and France’s Agathe Laisne.

The USA’s Amy Lee fired the round of the day, a seven-under 66 at Al Maaden Golf Marrakech to secure her 2026 LET card on the 10-under-par qualifying number.

The Epson Tour player finished the week tied for 16th alongside three-time LET winner Meghan MacLaren from England, Isle of Man’s Ana Dawson, South Africa’s Caitlyn Macnab and Spain’s Marta Sanz Barrio.

Should they wish to accept LET membership, the 20 players will hold Category 12 status for the 2026 season.

A total of 30 players earned Category 16 membership after finishing between 21st and 50th in Marrakech.

Olivia Mehaffey finished a shot further back in 51st on four under after a level par 73, while Annabel Wilson was 58th on three under after carding a four under 68.

Canice Screene was joint 104th on three over after closing with a one-over 73.
