The Irish Girls team won their quarter final match in Flight B in Oslo but there was disappointment for the men’s and women’s teams in the European Amateur Team Championships.

The men fell 4.5 - 2.5 to a talented Italy at Golf de Chantilly near Paris, where they shared the foursomes 1-1 but could win just one of the five singles.

The Italians go on now to face Scotland (5.5-1-.5 winners over Spain) while Sweden take on Denmark after their wins over France and Norway respectively.

Ireland take on Spain for in the battle for 5th to 8th spots.

In the European Ladies’ Championship in Iceland, Ireland fell 3.5 to 1.5 to Slovenia in Flight B and now meet the Netherlands.
