Padraig Harrington will join Taoiseach Brian Cowen for the annual St Patrick’s Day celebrations at the White House.
According to AP, the Dubliner has been invited to the annual party hosted by President Barack Obama on March 17.
Harrington said: “I’m looking forward to it. I want to meet one of the most charismatic people in the world, and the most influential leaders in the world. And he’s a golfer. I quite enjoy celebrating St. Patrick’s Day.”
Harrington won’t be doing too much celebrating.
Set to play in the Transitions Championship in Tampa on March 18, he said: “I have a tee time the next day.”
