Niall Kearney birdied the 18th from three feet to edge out Michael McGeady and claim the 104th Irish PGA Championship sponsored by Down Syndrome Centre at Adare Manor Golf Club.

Niall Kearney and Michael McGeady lead the Irish PGA Championship on five under par heading into Sunday's final 18 holes.

Michael McGeady will return to defend his Irish PGA Championship crown at the historic Adare Manor Golf Club [not to be confused with the luxury Adare Manor Hotel and Golf Resort Golf Club on the far bank of the River Maigue] at Adare in Co Limerick from September 30 – October 5.

Ian Colleran (Killarney Golf & Fishing Club), Paul Masterson (Coollattin GC), Michael Quinlivan and Michael O'Shea (Rathsallagh) topped the leaderboard at the PGA Irish Championship qualifying event at Adare Manor GC.

The 104th staging of the Irish PGA Championship will be held for the first time at the historic Adare Manor Golf Club in Co Limerick from September 30 to October 5.
