Big-hitting Dubliner David Carey added a 72 to his opening 69 to share sixth place heading into the final round of the Alps Tour's Ein Bay Open in Egypt.

The former Carton House player made three birdies and three bogeys in a level par effort on the wide open spaces of Sokhna Golf Club to trail leader Julien Foret of France by five shots on three under.

Scores

Foret shot a 67 to lead by one stroke from Italy's Ennio Di Nitto (69) on eight under par with Spain's Daniel Osorio (70) third on six under.

Killarney's Tommy O'Driscoll missed the cut by three shots on his professional debut, carding a second successive 75. His younger brother Eamonn, still an amateur, was 74th after an 84.
