Amateurs and teenagers Eamonn O’Driscoll and Luke Donnelly cruised into the Final Stage of this this week's Alps Tour Q-School at La Cala.

While Bushfoot’s Owen Crooks added an 81 to his opening 79 to miss out by five strokes in his First Stage Qualifier on the Asia Course at the Spanish resortt, Golf Clementader's O’Driscoll shot rounds of 78 and 75 there to qualify with two shots to spare on nine over par and join his brother Tommy and Castlenbar’s Declan Loftus in Thursday’s first round draw.

Kilkenny’s Luke Donnelly, another teenage amateur tyro, fed off his Gecko Tour experiences to qualify with five shots to spare, adding level par 71 to his opening 76 as 37 players made it on 11 over or better.

Sam Testelin of France topped the qualifiers by five strokes on seven under par while on the Asia Course, 43 players qualified on 12 over or better with Austria’s Nikolaus Wimmer and England’s Phillip Kelly (64-73) tied at the top on seven under 137.

The final stage will see the leading 65 players and ties after 72 holes gain their cards for the 2017 Alps Tour season.
