Designed by Des Smyth and Declan Branigan, Seapoint Golf Links in Termonfeckin, next door to Baltray's Co Louth, is an 18 hole championship links that played host to the Irish PGA Championship in 2010 and 2011 and the Irish Amateur Close Championship in 2013.

The Seapoint Winter Series in association with Titleist/Footjoy is open to professionals amateurs with a handicap of 10 or less. They will compete for weekly prizes and an overall series award.

The competition entry fee is €30 for amateur players and €25 for professionals. Cash prizes for professionals will be determined by the number of entries.

European tour professional and Sky Sports golf pundit, Gary Murphy said that Seapoint was a great test of links golf.

He added: “Given its central location, this event will be very popular with professionals and amateurs from North and South of the border and I look forward to playing in the events myself."
