O'Hagen and Burke make Senior PGA cut

Luttrellstown Castle's Peter O'Hagan and Royal Curragh's Gerry Burke were the lone Irishmen to make the cut in the Senior PGA Professional Championship at Foxhills in Surrey.

Bonn-based Phil Gresswell carded eight birdies in a four-under-par round of 69 over the Bernard Hunt course, making 13 birdies in 36 holes to lead by three shots from Downfield Golf Club's Kenny Hutton on five under par. Scores

O'Hagan is tied for 29th on six over, 11 shots off the lead after a one over 74 with Burke also shooting 74 to lie a shot further back in tied 36th.

Lurgan's Peter Hanna (77) missed the cut by two shots on 10 over with Royal Dublin's Leonard Owens on 17 over after rounds of 80 and 82.

Muswell Hill's Donal Brennan (80-84) also missed out while Fota Island's Kevin Morris retired after 27 holes.

John McHenry withdrew before the event.
