Success for Irish at Alps Q-School

Carlos Pigem won the Aps Tour Q-School at La CalaMark Murphy secured a full card and Stephen Grant enough starts for a full season at the Alps Tour Q-School in Spain.

Murphy closed with a one under 71 featuring an eagle and three birdies to finish 11th at La Cala on six under par as 38 players earned fully exempt status for the 2013 season. Scores

Grant finished tied for 39th on one over following a closing 72 and will also be able to plan a full schedule.

Spanish amateur Carlos Pigem posted a 67 to win the 54-hole event by a shot from England’s Alexander Christie and Welshman Rhys Enoch on 13 under par.
