GUI and ILGU agree to talks about merger
The Golfing Union of Ireland (GUI) and the Irish Ladies Golf Union (ILGU) are destined to merge and on Friday, both bodies took the first step towards the goal of having one governing body for golf by issuing a joint statement to say they will sit down to talk.

The search is on for the next Stephanie Meadow and the ILGU are inviting all girls under 12 years of age (born in 2003 or later), with an interest in trying golf, to attend free taster sessions with ILGU development coaches at centres across the country next month.
