McBride third at MENA Tour's Hilton Classic

Paul McBride walked away with $7,000 after he closed with a five-under par 67 to finish third in the MENA Golf Tour’s Hilton Classic in Morocco.
The former Wake Forest and Walker Cup player (30) finished just three strokes behind France’s Pierre Pineau at Al Houara Golf Club in Tangier.
“I felt like I played really well throughout the day,” McBride said. “It’s definitely good for the confidence to be in contention, especially this early in the year.
“I’m really looking forward to the rest of the season now and seeing what opportunities come up next.”
Mark Power was one of four players to share fourth place on five under par, collecting $4,550 after also closing with a 67.
Alex Maguire tied for ninth on three-under after a closing 71 while Marc Boucher was joint 40th on six-over.
Former Ryder Cup player Chris Wood leads the Order of Merit with Maguire the best of the Irish in eighth place.
