Foley progresses at First Stage of DP World Tour Qualifying School

Royal Dublin’s Hugh Foley will tee it up in October’s Second Stage of the DP World Tour Qualifying School after easing his way through the First Stage at The Players Club in Bristol.

The Dubliner (28) added a one-over 71 to rounds of 70, 72 and 70 to finish tied for fifth on three-over as 19 players progressed on six-over or better.

Buoyed by a third-round 63, American Cooper Musselman closed with a 69 to top the qualifiers by four shots on five-under.

First Stage - Hulencourt (Week 1). Belgium

In the first of two First Stage qualifiers scheduled for Hulencourt in Belgium, Brazil’s Frederico Bioni Figueirido closed with a six-under 66 to top the 15 qualifiers by two shots on 11-under.

First Stage qualifying continues from Tuesday next week at Hulencourt and at Huddersfield Golf Club, where Ireland’s Paul Conroy and Simon Bryan and G4D world No 1 Kipp Popert will tee it up.
