Women's and Girls' teams named for European Team Championships

Two teams have been selected to represent Ireland at the EGA European Ladies’ and Girls’ Team Championship from July 8-12. 

The women’s team will compete at Golf de Chantilly in France, while the girls’ team will travel to Slaley Hall in England for their championship. 

Selected for the women’s team are 2024 Curtis Cup and current Vagliano Trophy teammates Beth Coulter (Kirkistown Castle) and Áine Donegan (Lahinch), along with recently crowned Victorian Amateur Champion Emma Fleming (Elm Park). 

The girls’ team includes reigning Flogas Irish Girls’ Amateur Open Champion Zoe McLean-Tattan (Romford), Helen Holm Scottish Women’s Open Champion Róisín Scanlon (Woburn) and Spanish Amateur runner-up Olivia Costello (Roscommon). 

Each championship will begin with two rounds of stroke play qualifying, with the best five of six scores counting each day. The top eight teams will advance to match play to compete for the overall title.
