Mullarney secures HotelPlanner Tour card with top 7 at Alps Grand Final

Galway’s Ronan Mullarney finished joint seventh in the Regione Lazio Alps Tour Grand Final to secure a HotelPlanner Tour card for 2026.

He shot a four-under 68 to finish on nine under par, four shots behind Spain’s Asier Aguirre Izcue, who beat compatriot Javier Barcos after a playoff.

Aguirre Izcue shot a bogey-free 66 to force the playoff and secure his second win of the season at Golf Nazionale.

Barcos topped the 2025 Alps Tour Order of Merit to secure one of five HotelPlanner Tour cards.

Italy’s Jacopo Vecchi Fossa, Aguirre Izcue, France’s Quentin Debove and Mullarney earned the remaining four cards and category 12b membership in the HotelPlanner Tour next year.

Robert Moran tied for 11th on six under after a 69 and finished 24th in the Order of Merit.

Hugh Foley was 18th in the rankings after a closing 71, which left him 36th on four over at the season finale.
