Hermitage launches new Scratch Cup for men and women

Hermitage Golf Club has announced the creation of a major new 36-hole Scratch Cup Strokeplay competition for men and women.

It will be held on Saturday, 22nd July 2023.

The event will be sponsored by Golfnow and The Hudson rooms and the entry fee is €40 including lunch.

The club anticipates “that this major one day 36 hole competition will attract participation from top amateur golfers both nationally and internationally.”

Entry will be limited to the lowest 30 handicap entrants in each competition.

Hermitage GC has hosted the longest running Ladies Scratch Cup in Ireland and this year will also welcome the Senior Mens’ Open Championship from 24th – 26th May.

Hermitage was founded in 1905 and won the prestigious award of ‘Best course in Leinster’ for the 4th time in 2023.

Hermitage Golf Club also has a long history of men and women international golfers with Kate Lanigan and Rowan Lester two of the club’s most recent products.

Individual trophies will be presented to the winners of each Scratch Cup.
