Munster and Leinster continued their strong start the Interprovincial Matches by winning their foursomes on day two at Rosapenna.

Following their win over Connacht on Monday, holders Munster edged Ulster 2.5 - 1.5 over the Sandy Hills Links with Geoff Lenehan and Pat Murray halving their match with Colm Campbell and William Hanna.

Robin Dawson and John Hickey lost 2 and 1 to a sensational John Ross Galbraith and Tiarnan McLarnon, who were six under on the front nine alone as Dave O'Donovan and Gary O'Flaherty beat Jordan Hood and Gareth Lappin by one hole.

Leinster's young team snatched a one-point advantage over Connacht with Alan Lowry and Conor O’Rourke halving the final foursomes against Stephen Brady and Steffan O’Hara to put them 2.5-1.5 ahead going into this afternoon's singles.

Young guns Kevin LeBlanc and Rowan Lester and Paul Mc Bride and Thomas Mulligan won their matches.
