Europro Tour — Brian Casey got his season up and running with a second round 69 catapulting him to 10th in the Buildbase Open at Frilford Heath’s Red Course.

The Headfort man is tied for 10th on three under, nine shots behind runaway leader Gary King  who added a 70 to his openign 62 to lead by seven shots from Wales’ James Frazer and England’s Luke Goddard.

Simon Ward (71-73) is tied for 23rd on level par with Alan Dunbar and Richard Kilpatrick also making the cut on 146. Scores

Alps Tour — David Carey needs the best back nine of of his pro career to make the cut in the weather-delayed Open Frassanelle in northern Italy.
Play was suspended for the day on Friday afternoon due to heavy rain and lightning with Spain's Gerard Piris leading on 10 under total thanks to a second round 67. Scores
Play resumed at 7.30am on Friday with Brendan McCarroll a shot outside the projected one over cut line after rounds of 74 and 69. 
Carey opened with a six over 77 and two dropped shots on his opening nine in the second round leaves him battling to keep his head above water, an hour west of Venice.

French Amateur — Alexander Wilson, Conor O'Rourke, Tommy O'Driscoll and Eanna Griffin wil fly the flag for Irish golf in the Internationaux de France at Chantilly over the next three days. Field
