Headfort's Brian Casey tied for third and Simon Ward and Rory McNamara shared fifth as just six of Ireland's 20 hopefuls came through Stage One of the PGA Europro Tour's Q-School at five UK venues.

Mark Whelan, Glen Robinson and Matt McAlpin also won their places in the field for the Final Stage at Frilford Heath from April 6-8. They will be joined there by the exempt Richard Weldon from Killeen Castle.
