Murray on the mark in Titleist Mid-West Alliance

Multiple championship winner Pat Murray had enough with a three over 75 to share top spot with locals Nicky Duggan and Seanie Burns in the first round of the 2015 Titleist sponsored Mid West Alliance at Dromoland Castle.
It was a case of fourth time lucky for the alliance, which had been cancelled on three previous occasions because of severe frost, fog and rain.
Hail storms lashed the venue yesterday yet despite the elements, the superb greens at Dromoland rolled beautifully.
Nick Duggan was closest to the pin at the seventh
In the 4 to 9 handicap category, defending champion Alan Neville shot an 80 gross to lead from David Casey and Donncadh Nagle.
