Irish pair struggle in Junior Players at Sawgrass

Ireland's Conor Purcell and Eoin Leonard struggled on the opening day of the the Junior PLAYERS Championship presented by TaylorMade-adidas Golf at TPC Sawgrass.
laying the famed Stadium Course, Portmarnock man Purcell shot an eight over 80 to end the opening day tied for 55th with Leonard posting a nine over 81 for a share of 65th.
Texans Austin Connelly and Maxwell Miller shot three under 69s to lead by one from Norway's Andreas Halvorsen and Pinehurst's Joshua Martin with England's Sam Horsfield tied for fifth after a 71.
