Skerries' Maria Dunne topped the 2014 ILGU/Titleist Ladies Scratch Cup circuit after claiming her second Scratch Cup of the season at Royal Portrush on Sunday.
Trailing Castletroy's Chloe Ryan and Royal County Down Ladies' Olivia Mehaffey after the first event at Royal Co. Down, she topped the table with a win the following weekend at Woodbrook.
With the top four results from six events to count, a joint third place finish at Cork saw her lead cut to just 20 points as Mehaffey closed the gap.
But her solid 148 total in the wintry conditions at Royal Portrush last weekend saw her extend her winning margin to 32 points.
Co Louth’s Deirdre Smith leap frogged the field with a fourth place finish on Sunday to finish second in the overall standings with Mehaffey in third, ahead of Donaghadee's Jessica Ross and The Island's Gillian O’Leary.
With four events from six to count, points were awarded to players with scores within three strokes of the Competition Scratch Score (CSS) at each event.
