Mallow's James Sugrue fired a two under 70 to take a one stroke lead into the final round of the Munster Youths Amateur Open at Dungarvan.

The Cork golfer leads on three under 141 at from overnight leader Peter McKeever of Castle with Balmoral's Matthew McClean posting a best-of-the-week 69 to lurk just two strokes behind on one under.

Sugrue will be hoping to go one better than in 2012, when he finished second in the event behind Ardee's Eugene Smith at Muskerry.
