Strandhill Golf Club know exactly how their counterparts at Mulranny are feeling following the destruction of the Co Mayo course over the winter months.
While Mulranny was badly flooded, the Co Sligo club lost its clubhouse to fire in 2005 and were gratified when clubs from the west of Ireland rallied to their aid.
Now Strandhill believe it's time to give something back and the club is asking members and visitors alike to pay €10 a head to play an 18 hole scramble in aid of the Mulranny Disaster Fund next Sunday, March 30. Teams of four (any combination) are €40.
