Codd trails Nocera by eight in Morocco

Rebecca Codd carded a one under 70 but still found herself eight shots behind Gwladys Nocera of France entering the final round of the Lalla Meryem Cup in Morocco.
The Carlow player is tied for 16th on three under but Nocera moved into top gear at Golf de l’Ocean in Adadir, carding a six under 65 to lead by two shots from compatriot Sophie Giquel-Bettan (67) on 11 under.
Halfway leader Ariya Jutanugarn (72) of Thailand is two strokes further back on seven under while Irish amateur Olivia Mehaffey moved up five spots to joint 50th on three over after a level par 71.
The 16-year old from Royal County Down Ladies had three birdies and three bogeys on her card, matching French amateur Mathilda Cappeliez, who slipped back to joint fourth.
