Intervarsity Series — O'Byrne and Ross best on the Valley

Dublin University's Daniel O’Byrne and Queen's University's Jessica Ross took the spoils in round two of the Irish Intervarsity Series over the Valley Links at Royal Portrush.

O’Byrne’s round of two-under par 66 (38 gross points) was two better than the chasing pack of IT Sligo’s Declan Reidy and Ulster University trio William Russell, Neil McKinstry and Ross Dutton.

Ross shot a two-over 74 for 34 points , which was good enough for a three-shot victory over a tightly-bunched chasing past in the women's competition that included Maynooth’s Shannen Brown and Shannon Burke, and Ulster’s Jessica Boal, Roisin Brady and Paula Grant.
