Stephanie MeadowAmateur Stephanie Meadow finished an impressive tied 39th as Inbee Park closed with a 69 to cruise to a four-shot win in the Kraft Nabisco Championship.

The Jordanstown star bogeyed the last but still shot a level par 72 in the final round to finish on one under par at Mission Hills Country Club.

“That’s the place that I’ve always wanted and I only have one more spot to go,” said Park, who will move to world No 2 behind Stacy Lewis thanks to her second major win.

“That brings a lot of momentum, keeps momentum going for me, especially after this week. I felt a lot of confidence with my swing and with my putting.

“Everything has been going the right way this season. It feels good.”
 
It was the Korean’s fifth win of 2103 and he second major victory following her triumph in the 2008 US Women Open. She also won the LPGA money title last year.

Park shot rounds of 70-67-67-69 to finish four shots clear of compatriot So Yeon Ryu (65) on 15 under par with Sweden’s Caroline Hedwall (68) six behind in third place on nine under.

Lydia Kpo was the leading amateur on two under after a 69, sharing 25th place with Galway-born Alison Walshe, who also shot three under on Sunday.
