Rathmore’s Alan Dunbar maintained his 100 percent record as Europe took a seven-point lead over Asia Pacific into the final day singles at the Sir Michael Bonallack Trophy in Portugal.

For the second day in a row, the Walker Cup star won both his fourball and foursomes matches alongside Welshman Rhys Enoch at Monte Rei on the Algarve.

Leading 6-4 after the opening day, Andrew Bennett Morgan’s Europe won the morning foursomes 4-1 with Dunbar and Enoch beating Korea’s Soo-Min Lee and India’s Khalin Hitesh Joshi 3 and 1.

Now 10-5 ahead, Europe then claimed the fourballs 3.5 - 1.5 with Dunbar and Enoch setting the tone with a 3 and 2 win over India’s Seenappa Chikkarangappa and Thailand’s Natipong Srithong.

The event will conclude with 12 singles on Friday with Dunbar taking on Chikkarangappa in the second match of the day.
