O'Keeffe looking good in Belgium
Big hitting Peter O'Keeffe is just one round away from his best Challenge Tour finish after a third round 71 left him five shots off the pace in the Telenet Trophy at Royal Waterloo.
The Douglas man, 27, is tied for eighth place on five under par after firing three birdies and two bogeys in a solid 71.
His best finish as a professional came in Sweden last season, when he came home seventh in The Dubliner Challenge and he has a golden opportunity to beat that on Sunday as chases down leaders Francois Calmels (70) of France and Welshman Stuart Manley (71).
The pair are locked together on ten under par, two strokes clear of English duo Andrew Butterfield and Richard McEvoy.
Simon Thornton is handily placed on four under after a 72 but Gareth Shaw is ten shots off the pace on level par after a 71.
Colm Moriarty went to the turn in two under par but double bogeyed the 11th and bogeyed the 13th before picking up a shot at the 17th for a 72 that left him where he started the day on one over.
Noel Fox started brightly with birdies at the second and third but three successive bogeys from the ninth and another at the 16th meant a 74 that relegated him to tied 54th on two-over.
