Seamus Power fought back from a terrible start to go into the final round just one stroke outside the top 10 in the Travelers Championship in Connecticut.

Tied fourth overnight, the West Waterford star (34) bogeyed his first four holes in the third round at TPC River Highlands.

But he recovered with birdies at the eighth, ninth, 13th and 14th and while he missed a five-footer for par at the last, carding a one-over 71, he’s just a shot outside the top-10, tied for 17th on six-under-par.

Kramer Hickok and three-time Travelers Championship winner Bubba Watson shot a four-under 68s to lead by one stroke on 10-under from Cameron Smith (66) Russell Henley (68) and overnight leader Jason Day (70).
