The K Club to host €10,000 Irish Golfer Shootout
The 17th on the Palmer North Course at The K Club
The K Club will host the €10,000 Irish Golfer Shootout supported by BMW and Modest! Golf on the Palmer North Course on July 21.
The event will be open to all male and female Irish professionals from all tours and categories as well as members of the 2019/20 GUI and ILGU panels.
The event follows in the footsteps of the Flogas Irish Scratch Series, which has seen male and female amateurs and professionals gather at Seapoint over the last two weeks for their first taste of competitive action since the COVID-19 lockdown.
Modest Golf!, the Irish Golfer and BMW Ireland are pleased to be able to support the Irish Golfer Shootout, which will offer prize money (or the equivalent voucher for amateurs to a maximum of €575) for the top 20 finishers at the 2006 Ryder Cup venue.
“We have run a very successful event series for amateur players for three years now and always wanted to explore a professional only event," Irish Golfer's Peter Finnan said.
"We looked to try and join some of our key partnerships together to run an all-inclusive event with a great prize fund.
“BMW Ireland and Modest! Golf are two huge supporters of professional golf worldwide and we were delighted to be in a position to get them involved in the tournament.”
How To Enter
The cost of entry is €100 per player—amateur or professional—which will include tea/coffee on arrival and a lunch after the round. The €10,000 prize fund will be shared among the top 20 players as set out below.
An amateur player can only be awarded the maximum €575 voucher to maintain amateur status. If an amateur wins, the first professional will get the difference.
