Tourism NI has released a video showcasing Northern Ireland’s world-class golf courses alongside positive messages to future visitors from golf club managers, golf pros and personalities, including pop star Niall Horan.

This video showcases the passion behind Northern Ireland’s golf sector and features messages from Niall Horan, Rory Best, James Nesbitt and TV presenter Stephen Watson.

“I am very excited when this is all over to get back to Ireland and have a few rounds of golf and head up to the North Coast and Galgorm Castle, a little place I love to play golf. I can’t wait,” Horan said.

COVID-19 restrictions will be eased in Northern Ireland on June 29.

Golf 's Protocol, in Step 3, has been relaxed considerably to permit clubs to include four-balls on their timesheets at 10 instead of 12-minute intervals. Competitions are permitted, with visitors allowed to pay green fees and compete in open competitions.

These measures were approved this week by the Northern Ireland Executive

Restaurants and bars (operating as restaurants) may also re-open under strict guidelines from July 3rd. Guidance from Tourism NI is available below pertaining to Restaurants/Cafes and Bars:

The Protocol sets out the basis on which golf can be played in a safe manner, during Step 3.

Golfers are expected to observe the underlying public health guidance, set out at: https://www.nidirect.gov.uk/articles/coronavirus-covid-19-overview-and-advice.

These rules are subject to change and golfers are asked to check www.golfnet.ie regularly for updates.
