Fitzgerald and Fay take top prizes in Flogas Irish Scratch Series

David Fitzgerald shot a one-under par 71 in wet and windy conditions to win the Flogas Irish Scratch Series outing at Seapoint Golf Links.

He won by a shot from disabled golf professional Brendan Lawlor and The K Club’s Conor O’Rourke as Thomas Fay shot 74 off three to win the nett by three strokes from Conor Jameson and Peter Tuite.

Ballymena professional Dermot McElroy and Portmarnock Links’ Daniel Mulligan shot one-over 73s to finish just outside the prizes.

Details of the 2021 Flogas Irish Scratch Series, which will see events staged around the country, will be announced after Christmas.
