Kearney slips back in Cadiz

Niall Kearney's hopes of winning the Andalucía Challenge de Cádiz faded after a third-round 76 left him nine shots off the lead.

Tied at the top with Jacobo Pastor at halfway, the Royal Dublin man (32) mixed four birdies with six bogeys and a double-bogey to slip to 12th place on three-under.

Spain's Alfredo Garcia-Heredia posted an eight-under-par 64 at Iberostar Real Club de Golf Novo Sancti Petri to lead by one stroke on 12-under from countryman Pep Angles.

England's Matt Baldwin is third on nine under par with Michael Hoey joint 44th on three-over after a 77.
Ranked 113th in the Road to Mallorca rankings, Kearney needs at least a top-four finish to qualify for next week's Challenge Tour Grand Final at T-Golf & Country Club.

But he is now five shots behind Sweden’s Christofer Blomstrand who shot 67 to sit alone in fourth on eight-under.
