O'Keeffe claims narrow lead in Irish Mid-Amateur

Douglas’ Peter O’Keeffe took a one-stroke lead into the final round of the Irish Mid-Amateur Championship at Royal Belfast.
After opening with a two-under 68 to lead by one stroke from Lurgan’s Olcan Kearney and Royal Portrush’s Patrick McCrudden, the former Irish Amateur Open champion made four birdies in a level par 70 to lead by one stroke on two-under.
Killeen Castle’s Cormac Ryan shot a 68 to share second with Rathmore’s Best Best, who shot 69 in the afternoon.
Christophe de Grancey of France carded a best of the day 6 6 to move up to joint fourth with international Colm Campbell and former West of Ireland champion Rory Leonard on level par.
