Four GUI Boys internationals have been named in the Great Britain and Ireland team for the Jacques Leglise Trophy match with the Continent of Europe next week.

Ireland had three players on the team in 2003, 2011 and 2016 but we have yet to unearth a record of more Irish players participating in a match that was first played in 1958.

Galgorm Castle’s Joshua Hill, Lisburn’s Aaron Marshall, Holywood’s Tom McKibbin and Connemara’s Luke O’Neill will tee it up at Aldeburgh Golf Club in England from August 30-31 in what is a remarkable achievement for Irish Boys golf.

The Boys team narrowly lost to England in the recent Boys Home Internationals but have more players on the team for the match with the continentals.
