Dundalk's Eoin Murphy produced a sensational finish to claim the overall gold medal following the final Hilary Golf Society outing of the season at Royal Dublin.

Playing off plus one, Murphy had the lowest aggregate net scores from three outings with his four under par score beat long-time leader Graham Lynch from County Louth by a single shot thanks to an eagle, par, birdie finish at the Bull Island links.

Corrstown’s Alan Doherty collected the silver medal as the gross winner. His aggregate score of level par gave him a one-shot victory over Hermitage's Alan Dowling.

The final outing in Royal Dublin was won by Clem Walshe (4) with a net 72. The Dundalk golfer beat Ashbourne’s Peter Kane by one shot.

Murphy shot a fine 74 to collect the gross prize.

Clem and Eoin were joined by Seapoint's Sean Murphy in winning the team prize with a score of 65.
