Seamus Power might have split with Nick Bradley but the swing coach is backing the West Waterford man to bounce back after a hugely disappointing start to his third season the PGA Tour.

The pair started working together just before the FedEx Cup Playoffs last year but went their separate ways after the Desert Classic in late January.

Power, who turned 32 yesterday, has made just two cuts from 11 starts since the wraparound season began last October.

But Bradley believes Power can still turn things around.

"I love Seamus to bits but at the end of the day I don't think my style of mentoring and teaching worked well with where he's presently at with his thought process," Bradley said.

"He'll get there, he's too good not to. He’s a good friend and he knows the door is always open for him."

Power is not in action in this week's Arnold Palmer Invitational at Bay Hill where Shane Lowry joins defending champion Rory McIlroy and sponsor's invitee Graeme McDowell in a star-studded field.

Tiger Woods withdrew on Monday citing a neck strain but expects to be fit for The Players at TPC Sawgrass next week.

“Unfortunately due to a neck strain that I’ve had for a few weeks, I'm forced to withdraw from the API,” Woods tweeted.

“I’ve been receiving treatment, but it hasn't improved enough to play. My lower back is fine, and I have no long-term concerns, and I hope to be ready for The Players.”
