Dundalk's Caolan Rafferty jumped 84 places to a career-high 78th in the World Amateur Golf Ranking following his maiden championship victory in the South of Ireland Championship at Lahinch.

He's now Ireland's second highest ranked players behind Robin Dawson, who rose one spot to ninth, with Douglas' Peter O'Keeffe also making a huge jump of 48 places to 84th.

The C-rated South of Ireland also resulted in career-high rankings for runner-up Rowan Lester (129th); beaten semi-finalist Mark Power (257); quarter-finalists Reece Black (722), Alan Fahy (1,163) and Paul Murphy (1,634); and last year's winner James Sugrue (590).
