Elm Park's Paul Roddy won the latest RaboDirect sponsored Hilary Golf Society outing at County Louth.

Taking advantage of perfect spring conditions at the sun-bathed Baltray links, the four-handicapper was a model of consistency, mixing four birdies with three bogeys for a nett 67 and a one-shot win over Dundalk five-handicapper Clem Walshe.

Hermitage’s Alan Dowling, playing off plus one, shot a fine 71 to capture the gross.

Walshe also won the team prize, scoring 63 with Slade Valley's Terry Lilly and Greenore's Sean Murphy.

The penultimate outing of the season takes place on Sunday, April 8 at Portmarnock Hotel and Golf Links.
