Seamus Power fired a one under par 69 to make the cut in the Quicken Loans National.

The West Waterford man, 142nd in the FedEx Cup standings, is tied for 31st on one over par, 11 strokes behind leader David Lingmerth (65-65) but just three shots outside the top 10.

Starting on the back nine at TPC Potomac at Avenel Farm, Power made two birdies and two bogeys to turn in level par 35, then came home in 34 with birdies at the second and third and a bogey at the fifth.

Swede Lingmerth leads by two strokes on 10-under par from former US Open champion Geoff Ogilvy of Australia, who hasn't won on the PGA Tour since 2014, when he captured the Barracuda Championship at Montreux Golf and Country Club in Reno.

On the LPGA Tour, Stephanie Meadow missed the cut in the KPMG Women's PGA at Olympia Fields in Chicago, carding rounds of 78 and 76 to finish on 12-over par.
