Irish Boys: Power and Brady chasing English duo at Castletroy

Defending champion Mark Power is just two shots adrift of English duo Danny Daniels and Jack Cope heading into the final round of the Irish Boys Amateur Open Championship at Castletroy.
The Kilkenny talent bogeyed his last two holes for a two over 74 to finish the day on three under as Daniels birdied the 18th for a 71 and Cope shot a 70 to leave them joint top on five-under par.
Overnight leader John Brady surrendered his advantage, coming home in 40 for a 77 that leave him three off the pace on two-under par.
Mallow’s Adam Boland is the only other player under par after he made six birdies in a one-under 71 to sit alone in fifth on one-under 215.
The cut for the top 50 and ties fell at plus 15 (231)
Hilton Templeatrick’s Reece Black, the East of Ireland champion, is tied 20th on nine-over.
