Denvir moves four clear at Galway Bay

Elm Park's Charlie Denvir has a four-stroke lead heading into Friday's final round of the Connacht U18 Open at Galway Bay.

A member of the Irish Under 18 panel, Denvir followed his opening 67 with a two-under-par 70 to get to seven under par.

Four players are tied for second place — Lisburn's  Kyle Patton, who shot a best of the day 67; Connemara's Luke O'Neill (70) and Royal Dublin's Max Kennedy (71).

The cut for the top 45 and ties fell at eight-over-par 152.
