Donegan, Hull and Coulter head for The K Club
Charley Hull, Aine Donegan and Beth Coulter will be three of the main attractions when the KPMG Women's Irish Open tees off at The K Club from 27–30 August.
Hull and Donegan shone at the PIF London Championship, while Coulter punched her ticket after following her historic win at the Women's Irish Challenge with a second successive playoff appearance on the LETAS in Denmark last weekend
Hull runner-up after record-breaking week at Centurion Club
World number six Charley Hull produced one of the standout weeks of her season at Centurion Club, firing a course-record 62 in round two before following it up with a six-under 67 in round three to surge into contention.
Hull, who also finished tied sixth at the AIG Women's Open last month, took the outright lead into the closing holes of the final round before a costly four-putt double bogey opened the door for Canadian teenager Anna Huang, who eagled the last for the fourth day running to claim her fourth LET title by two strokes.
The runner-up finish is a timely reminder of Hull's form heading to The K Club, where she is the headline act after lighting up the tournament's Carton House debut in 2025.
Career-best finish for Donegan sets up home comeback
Irish rookie Áine Donegan enjoyed the best week of her rookie LET career in London, sharing the clubhouse lead after a second-round 69 before a four-birdie blitz in round three kept her firmly in contention.
A final-round 74 saw the Lahinch native finish tied 10th on 10-under, her first top-10 finish on the Ladies European Tour, moving her up to 67th on the Order of Merit.
Donegan, the first graduate of Golf Ireland's Professional Pathway programme, now turns her attention to home soil, where she will be one of a record number of Irish players in the field at The K Club.

The 2026 KPMG Women's Irish Open will be held on the Palmer South Course at The K Club, Co. Kildare, from 27–30 August, with organisers targeting a third consecutive LET Tournament of the Year award and a record Irish presence in the field.
