Fota Island’s John Doyle finished tied for 28th behind two-time winner Miles Russell in the prestigious Junior Invitational at Sage Valley.

The Cork golfer, who has committed to LSU, finished on 11 over par at the South Carolina venue, where the list of past joys champions includes Scottie Scheffler, Joaquin Niemann, Akshay Bhatia, Tom McKibbin, Caleb Surratt and Aldrich Potgieter.

Russell retained his title, winning by three shots on 15 under from Tyler Watts.

2026 Junior Invitational (Boys) - Boys Division

Charlie Woods was last in the 36-strong field on 26-over.

Asterisk Talley won the Girls event by three shots on eight under.

2026 Junior Invitational (Girls) - Girls Division

Russell became the first boys champion to win back-to-back Junior Invitational titles, and Talley became the first girls champion to have multiple victories at Sage Valley.
