Lauren Walsh to represent The Island as touring professional

Lauren Walsh shows off her skills for a few of the locals
Lauren Walsh is the new touring professional for The Island Golf Club.
The Kildare native, who holds cards on the LET and the LPGA Tour, has been a member at the classic north Dublin links venue for over ten years.
“I’m thrilled to be partnering with The Island Golf Club,” Walsh said. “I’ve been a member here for ten years and I absolutely love the course. When I’m back in Ireland, I really enjoy the true links test at The Island, and it really helps me tighten up areas of my game that need work. Their whole team have been so supportive over the years, and I am so proud to be representing them.”
Donal Boyle, Club President of The Island, said: “We are incredibly proud to formally announce our partnership with Lauren as our Official Touring Professional.
“Lauren has been a valued member of The Island for over ten years, and we’ve had the privilege of watching her develop from a talented amateur into an LPGA Tour player.
“Her work ethic, humility and competitive spirit embody everything we stand for as a club. To see her earn her 2026 LPGA status after such a stellar season on the Ladies European Tour is a fantastic achievement, and we are delighted to support her as she represents The Island on the world stage. She is a wonderful ambassador for both Irish golf and our club.”
Walsh will serve as a key ambassador for The Island Golf Club at LPGA Tour events and international competitions throughout the season.
When at home, she will use The Island’s practice facilities.
