Ulster Captain Oonagh McClure says her players are competitors and they are determined to win back the Interprovincial title tomorrow in Knightsbrook.
The 2023 champions lost their crown last year when Munster were victorious but with back-to-back wins, Ulster are now in prime position heading into the final day.
On Wednesday, Ulster were 5-4 winners against Leinster, and they pushed on today with a 6-3 success against last year’s champions.
In the other match Leinster were 5.5 to 3.5 winners against Connacht meaning that Ulster lead the way on two points with Connacht and Leinster tied in second.
“It’s been a great start, the golf has been superb,” said McClure.
“We did well, we got off to a good start this morning with the three foursomes matches which gave us a bit of a headstart this afternoon.

“But it still it came down to the wire. We needed two matches and we were only up in one at one stage. So to come back and get, not only a second match but also a third match, was great play by the girls.
“It’s a different group of girls from two years ago, some of the girls on the team have only just come into the women’s interpros, they would have been playing girls interpros up until now.
“We have got three players who are in that position, it’s good to have new players on the women’s team.
“They want to prove themselves and all these girls like to win. That’s the bottom line.”
The Men’s Interprovincial Championship remains in the balance ahead of the final day as one point is all that separates fourth from first.
Connacht will take the overnight lead on 1 ½ points having beaten Munster 6-5 and shared a tie with Ulster 5 ½ - 5 ½.
Reigning champions Leinster and Munster share a point a piece with Leinster just narrowly taking the edge into second place on matches won while Ulster hold half a point in fourth following their draw with Ulster on the opening day.
