Ronan Mullarney moved up one spot to sixth in the Alps Tour Order of Merit after he finished a shot behind France's Victor Dubuisson in the 2025 Biarritz Cup by C&S Partners.

Dubuisson, who waived prize money of  €7,600 "in a gesture of personal principle", defeated Spain's Jorge Maicas with a birdie at the second tie hole after they finished a shot ahead of 36-hole leader Mullarney on 19-under.

Tied for fourth place through two rounds, Dubuisson carded an eight-under-par 61 to Macias' 60 as Mullarney shot 66.

"I'm very happy, and especially pleased for Gerald," former Ryder Cup star Dubuisson said.

"He's the title sponsor of the tournament and the one who invited me to play this week. We met through golf and developed a strong friendship. I admire how he supports young golfers and professionals—that's created a special bond between us.

"I'm also proud to coach some of his players, and this week, the plan was for him to caddie for me so we could experience the tournament together. It definitely turned out to be a great week."

"You couldn't ask for a better sponsor than Gerald or a more professionally organised tournament than this edition of the Biarritz Cup. It was a real pleasure to be part of it."

Robert Moran shot 67 to tie for 12th on 12 under with Michael Young a shot further back in joint 16th after a 66.

The race for five HotelPlanner Tour cards via the Order of Merit goes on with Spain's Javier Barcos, Italy's Jacopo Vecchi Fossa and Spain's Alvaro Hernandez Cabezuela occupying the top three places.

Mullarney is up to sixth, just 567 points outside the top five, while Moran is 18th, Hugh Foley (MC in Biarritz) 25th, Young 51st, John Murphy 89th and Marc Boucher 112th.

The Alps Tour takes a break before the Longwy Alps Open in France from September 4-6.
