Hugh Foley closed with a three-over 75 to finish T34 in the 2025 Lacanau Alps Open in France.
The Royal Dublin golfer went to the turn in one-under at UGolf Lacanau in Lacanau-Océan, mixing birdies at the first and ninth with a bogey at the third.
He found going tough coming home, however, and after making a double bogey at the 10th and bogeys at the 11th, 13th and 15th, he birdied the par-five 18th to finish on one-under overall.
He finish ten strokes behind Spain’s Javier Calles Roman, who shot 69 to win by a shot from Italy’s Flavio Michetti (67).
Jerry Ji from the Netherlands and Italy’s Lucas Fallotico shared third place on nine-under as France’s Andoni Etchenique and Xavier Poncelet and Spain’s Jorge Maicas, completed the top five on eight-under.

“I’m very emotional, I still need to process what happened,” said Calles Roman, who birdied the last to win.
“This is a dream come true. I turned professional exactly one year ago, and to win my first title within that year is truly special.
“This win is for my parents; I wouldn’t be here without their unwavering support through the good and bad times.
“The nerves definitely kicked in today. I knew where I stood on the leaderboard and kept being aggressive. I lipped out for birdie on 17, and when I reached the 18th tee, I kept telling myself to stay aggressive but calm simultaneously.”
Spain’s Alvaro Hernandez Cabezuela continues to lead the Alps Tour Order of Merit with 15,855.45 points.
Spain’s Rocco Repetto lies second with fellow Spaniard Javier Barcos in third.
France’s Quentin Debove climbs to fourth with 12,688.65 points, while Spain’s Asier Aguirre Izcue rounds out the top five with 12,227.40 points.
Calles Roman jumped to eight place in the season standings with 10,115.91 points.
